Material: Motion of a Freely Falling Body
Submitted by: John Walkup on Jun 05, 2001
Date Last Modified: Jun 05, 2001
Title: Electric Field Web Assignment No. 4
Description: Although the original applet deals with a freely falling body, this assignment uses the same applet to incorporate the effects of an electric field force as well. The user is presented with the motion of a body and asked questions about the strength of the electric field.
Time Required Under one hour.
Topics: Projectile motion, ballistic motion, velocity, acceleration, constant acceleration,
gravity, freely falling body.
Course: Second semester, introductory physics.
Prerequisites Skills: An understanding of the kinematic equations of motion for constant
acceleration and basic electrostatics.
Learning Objectives: To understand how the force caused by an external electric field effects the motion of a body.
